Moving On
I am not what I once was;
As the caterpillar does,
I have become something new.
The candle flame you once knew
Has been quite quietly quenched;
It’s light by deep darkness drenched.
Just a faint smoke plume remains;
All this interlude retains.
I enjoyed my sojourn here;
But now I must disappear.
Life’s next chapter awaits me,
So I must set the past free.
Blessings to my companions;
But expect no reunions.
I won’t forget once I’m gone;
But it’s time I’m moving on.
